Break stutter feeling

I noticed on my 2014 c300 that sometimes when I break, it feels like the break is stuttering a little bit. Where its like the break stops working for a half a second, if that makes sense. It breaks fine but I'm not sure if that's normal?
I have a few theories...
Maybe I'm going to fast while I'm slowly breaking?
Maybe it does that only on eco mode for whatever reason?
maybe it's the break assist?
Or something needs to be replaced?

If anybody has any clue what it might be, please let me know. Thanks!

Need more info. How many miles on the car?
How many miles since the brakes were replaced?
Is it a stutter or a pulsation?
On what surface did you sense this? Icy? wet? (could be normal anti-lock action if you see the orange triangle light up)
Normally a stability / anti-lock system will through a code and a message will be displayed if it is going bad

yeah I guess it would be more of a pulsation. Where I'm braking, and it's slowing down but feels like it's pulling back as if something is slipping. But it is very slight, and i don't think anyone else I've been driving with has noticed it. so it only has 39,000 miles. I just bought the car a week ago so I'm not sure the last time the brakes were replaced. No error code pops up or anything, no maintenance messages, etc... I've noticed that it only happenes when I'm close to a stop at like 10-15 mph maybe but my foot still on the brake.
Because when I'm going down a hill and stuff like that, the whole way down it'll brake normally, it's only at the end of braking that it starts pulsing a little bit. And it's been all dry conditions.

Pretty sure I experienced the same sensation on my x204, lubing up my caliper bolts solved it for me. I would also check the brake and rotors

alright I'll try that! It's currently in the shop right now because somebody backed into me but I'll try that when I get it back. What do you suggest I use to lube it up with?

yeah I was afraid that's what it was. But I read another thread where they said if it was a pulsing in the break itself that it could just be ABS. Its been in the body shop for the last few days so I haven't been able to check if that's how the pulsation was, but from what I remember, that's what it was. Hopefully its just the ABS.
If not, would my warranty cover replacement rotors? I have 8 months left on it but I just bought the car from a Subaru dealership a week ago.

Brakes aren't even covered by MB warranty as they are a "wear" item (well, not covered after the adjustment period or the first two years in Canada - there's some brake warranty IIRC"), at least not for pulsation. I doubt Subaru will cover them.

I'd be shocked if it wasn't the rotors. I've dealt with enough brake issues with Infinitis/Audis and such, and it always ended up being the rotors.

Sounds like your ABS brakes are engaging. Do you know what that feels like? If it is happening just before you come to a full stop it could be a sensor on one of the wheels.
