Any actually paid for warm start knock repair?
I have a 2009 C300 with the infamous startup knock. My car has 66k and is immaculate, but it does have the warm start knock. It drives like a dream, and I would love to get this annoying sound gone. Has anyone actually paid to have it done and how much was it in the USA?

Mine only does it after sitting 2-3 hours. In the morning it rarely does it, however it has made the sound occasionally on very warm mornings.

It's a bearing issue. There are tons of threads about it on here, most people live with it as Mercedes claims it's normal. But I would love to get rid of the noise. I know it's costly, I would love to pay to have it repaired.
