Just picked this car up, seems like the alignment of the trunk is off. Pretty confident its not due to an accident, all original body parts and no damage at all to the frame.. Check pics
how do i fix it
Open the trunk lid and you will see two adjustable bumpers (so called?) one on the left edge one on the right side. I am not sure of its adjustable range up to one inch? Based on the alignment between the right rear light housing and the trunk crease, it looks like less than an inch off.

i have already tried that, those have no effect on the height of trunk :/
What do the interior hinge/spring areas look like..no wiggle room/play when gripping trunk lid ? Any marks on inside carpeted lid piece suggesting the trunk was accidently closed on a protruding object distorting it ? lt/rt hinges /plastic cladding look symmetrical ? If you push down on the elevated side does it close the gap any ?

no they dont have no wiggle room. All the hinges look symmetrical, and ill check for marks but i dont think there wer any, but i suppose the trunk infact was closed on an object. If i push down on it, it does close the gap.
