C350 vs Chrysler 300C

Hey guys, I was just wondering how would a tuned 2014 C350 4matic coupe go against the new 2018 Chrysler 300C in terms of straight line performance? I know my car would dance around it on a track, but I'm planning to head to the dragstrip with my friend who has the new Chrysler this weekend :P Any of you have experience racing the 300c?

BTW I'm running the Kleemann ECU tune so it should be around 320 hp while the 300C has around 360 hp.

Don't compare a chrysler to a mercedes.. The 300c has 292 hp with a 3.6 v6, the 363hp is the higher model with a 5.7 v8 and 363hp from a 5.7 in 2018 isnt really impressive anyways.

Well nonetheless it will be an interesting race! His car is also quite a bit bigger and heavier, so I'm thinking with a good launch I'll beat him since I've got AWD and his is only RWD. I recently raced my other friend's gle 43 amg and I won; I beat it at around 120 km/h due to his higher air resistance!

He stands no chance, rwd or awd, if he is rwd he weight 4012lbs vs yours 3682lbs.. 292hp / 260 trq vs 302hp/273 trq, + you said its chipped so you are making more the 302hp. Physics wont allow you to lose against that Chrysler sail boat.

I'm thinking about buying one and trading in my c300 in the next few days. Maybe.

Sure it's an American car, but I feel like we give the c300 too much credit on here. Of course, that's a different discussion.

I drove one, the interior is laughable in quality and ergonomics, feels big for nothing, handles poorly, mediocre performance unless you get str8 and even then its way to heavy to keep up with its competition. Most are my opinion but some you can't deny are facts once you drive one.And its far from a mercedes, it shares the rear and front e class suspension designs from the early 2000s, that's about it, still almost 20 year old design yet chrysler doesn't want to drop the design they didn't engineer but bot from mercedes because they can't figure out a better one of their own.

Personally I'd be embarrassed to drive a Chrysler 300c unless it was back in 2007 or whenever it first came out.

It won't take corners like a c but neither will an e-class, which is the comparable [2nd gen]. They stopped using mercedes parts since their 2011 models.
Chrysler made the design, and people argue that its a cheap rolls royce which frankly it isnt, and it was never meant to be. The people who bought/made ridiculous body kits and made it ghetto really ended up giving that image, however that can really be attributed to the low price LX models, which frankly were disgusting. Performance is pretty good and its not the boat the first gen used to be.

The interior beats the c imo. This is subjective of course, but pre-facelift without a doubt. I just am not really taking much interest in the facelift models, some design improvements but some also went down.

glc43 amg(sold) 2015 Mustang GT 2019 Volveo Inscription t6
Had a c300 loaner last week when my GLC43 was in for repairs. Not too impressed. Modestly option model stickered at 45k. Still a small sedan w/ a 4 cyl engine. Pretty quite, rode smooth. Plain and kinda boring.
Loaded Chrysler 300c Hemi, same price, more options, bigger, faster, quieter. Have driven them both. High cost to service and maintain the MB. Terrible resale on the Chrysler. Kind of a crap shoot which is truly a better value.

Well I'm hoping that's the result! The thing is his 300C is the hemi version with the big 5.7 L V8 and 360 hp. It is a boat, but its a big boat with a big engine. So it'll be an interesting match, small German compact coupe vs a big American v8.
