Throttle Body valve Moving when car is off??
I think I have a tough one for y’all! So I’ve been having some battery drain issues lately so I finally got a chance to get under the hood and noticed the throttle open/close valve is continuously moving when the car is off, which causes my battery to drain I’m assuming. I diagnosed it to fuse #27 under the hood. I’m removing it when the car is sitting more than a day to stop battery drain. I’m assuming this is a bad module or something. Any insight would be badass. Thanks ahead!!

I'm going to have to dive into mine and check this out. I can't say I have battery drain as it's my DD but after I park I can here something that sounds electronic in nature opening or closing. Noticed it when washing my car last week and after reading what you say I am very curious if that's what it is.

Yeah catmandoob, check it out and let me know what you find. Mine will click until the battery drains out. It’s fuse #27 in the fuse box under the hood. It’s driving me nuts. Probably, going to have it checked out Friday. Not looking forward to that $$!!

The electronic throttle is driven directly from the M/E, so if it's not a bad throttle, it's a bad M/E. No stored faults/events? Could be something keeping the CAN awake and that's what is causing the M/E to reset the base position of the TB constantly (which it normally does, but not non-stop)

No codes! I’ve diognosed it down to fuse 26 (system electronics, which doesn’t help me) and fuse 27(Comand), which I believe is the radio area but not sure. I’ve unplugged the seats because I heard that was a major issue with these cars but still no luck. Also had the battery and alternator tested as well, they are good!! So baffling!!!!

Comand is the radio, yes. More likely that something there is keeping the systems on. Check for water in the front floor areas, pull up the carpets. Common on the 204.
Unplug the Comand components one at a time and watch for the draw to go away. Use a multimeter connected in series at one of the battery terminals.

No, usually it's something else in the system, but you need to do a draw test and figure out where.
I'd start by seeing what the fuse you are pulling feeds. Every component it sends power to could be suspect. If you have the meter on and disconnect them one at a time, you will see which one is drawing power. Then you can replace the bad part.

has there been a solution to this? I'm currently having the same problem on my 09 S550 with the throttle body and its been going on for quite a while now. Haven't been able to drive the car for a little over a year because of it. Would much appreciate any response.

I am having the exact same issue with my 2011 E550. I tracked it down to fuse 27 (ME-SFI) using the draw test method. I began to hear a beep and a clicking noise coming from behind the ECM and I determined to be the throttle valve. It is activating every 3 to 5 minutes, which I am assuming keeps the ECM awake. I am not sure if it is the ECM, the throttle body or a communication issue; or any other issue.
I had to replace the alternator already because of the amount of amps it had to put when the battery was drained. Where should I start?
For those who had the same issue, what was the solution? Any info is appreciated. Thanks

I had a ton of water under the carpet on driver's side. The problem i had with the throttle body cycling was the engine computer. I bought one online plug and play and now I have a transmission problem

Whenever you get water inside, like you did, you will likely be plagued with phantom problems forever. Water gets inside the wires and wicks its way to electrical components and eventually corrodes the contacts. I had a 2008 Infiniti G35x that the insurance company totaled after a hard rain where water got inside and puddled in the floorplan. They considered it flood damage and weren't going to continue replacing module after module, which would become very expensive.

thank for response I gonna change the ECU and let see what happens I had the same problem with my transmission I just changed the oil filter and restart the TCM on the ECU and drove the car about 10 min and the car runs smooth just the throttle making noise after turned off the car
