Poly V belt
My car is approaching the 6 year old and I'm still on the original poly V belt. It still looks spotless - no cracking or anything. Surprising to me as I drive this car ***** deep on a daily basis....
When did you replace the Poly V (serpentine) belt on your car? E.g. how long did it last before you had to replace it? Thanks

Mine started squeaking due to tensioner. I think when I replaced tensioner I replaced the belt too...for some reason I don't remember doing the tensioner at all lol but I guess it was around 65k. However, the belt did look good. So idk.

Just replaced mine 2 weeks ago. Belt came off looking good actually not even any cracking. Can't say 100% for sure it hasn't been replaced before but if it was they used OEM MB for it.
Idler pulley was whirrring and I isolated to it's bearings being shot so just did a complete replacement on all. In theory looks like 10 years old and 83k miles before replacement.

These cars seem to have tensioner issues at around 150 000-170 000km, it is also a good time to replace the v belt and idler pulleys while in there at that mileage because they will fail sooner rather then later at that mileage.

Does MB even give a change interval on the belts? I looked through the manual and it states to check it every two years, but no mention of replacement. About to hit 10 years but only 70K and it looks great so I'm wondering when I should consider changing it.
