Driving directions for my Mercedes via my phone

How do I use the contact info in my iPhone to get driving directions, maps, etc onto my Mercedes?

currently, I have to use my iPhone for driving directions unless I have manually entered the destination info manually. I want to upload all of my addresses, contact info into the memory system of the Mercedes. How do I do that?

I don't think you can easily use Car Play on the stock Comand head unit in this generation. Hardware wise it's quite capable but I think it comes down to licensing.

If you connect your phone with BT end enable the option in your phone it should do the contact sync.

Depends on what your car has and what you are looking for.

I have the 2014 C300 and briefly owned a 2013 C300 both with Comand but I don’t know how much different this is on the pre-facelift model.

To get contacts and addressses from your iPhone info command you will need to adjust your Bluetooth settings on your iPhone (hit the “i” next to MB Bluetooth) and enable Sync Contacts and notifications. This will get your contacts and addresses loaded into the car.

You can also use the Mercedes Me app if you have the basic Mercedes Me subscription and send addresses directly to the car via the application.

Also the native Here and Yelp apps can provide address info.

It used to be you could use google maps to send POI to the car but that stopped working a while back.

Native Yelp and Here require a subscription for the apps which is a waste of money really.

Mine always just worked. I never paid for any subscriptions. However I found it so slow and cumbersome that I would rarely use it. Interestingly, the Mercedes Me app wouldn't work for me. I could send through google maps till that got blocked. Whoever gets my car I guess will inherit an active subscription.

That a good savings. Though you lose out on the main reasons I like the service it seems. Such as being able to locate the vehicle if stolen, automatic emergency services in a crash, and the app functionality.

I use the Mercedes Me app on a regular basis, and I have synced all of my contacts into the COMAND as well. Occasionally, I will have to input an address for a store or business that is not in my database
