Smart Key stuck in ignition
Hey all,
I have a w204 2008 C300 with the basic ignition system. I parked the car then put it in parking then turned off the car I set the ignition to the 2nd position I was waiting for 5 mins then when I wanted to to turn the car on I felt it crank but stop like when the battery is dead so I tried removing the key to retry and start the car but the key is stuck in position 1 and would not go to the position 0 to remove the key its stuck. I even tried moving the steering wheel to the left but no luck, also I manually changed the gears then back to parking but that didn't work, last step was to remove battery reconnect but that did not do anything. Has any one had this happen before and have a way to fix this with the car in the ignition the car will not start or le me set the ignition to position 0.
