I am trying to decide between 3M ColorStable or Xpel Prime CS- which should I go with?

I would find a shop using SunTek and have them install the Carbon or CarbonXP. Or LLumar window film and use the ceramic film. Great films and long lasting color stability. I was never real impressed with 3M, they make many things, doesn't mean they are the best at it.

Factory ordered 2012 MB C350 w/Dynamic Handling Package
I think the trick is to go with a trusted installer, since a professional will not use a sub-par tint.

DISCLOSURE: I currently have 3M on my Mercedes, and I think Llumar on my wife's Lexus.

I agree mostly, some good installers who have not been in the industry for more than five years do not have the history to know how long a film will last. And most people only keep a car for 4-5 years. I would check local forums in your area on several makes of cars to find a consensus.

Full disclosure: I owned a tint shop for 17 years and was in the industry for over 20.

Yeah I will most likely go with 3M's top of the line, Crystalline tint.
