Is there a fuse associated with it which I can check?

I thought #61 could be it but the entire bank is empty and I am not sure how to insert a fuse into it since it's shaped differently.

Is it simply a button switch problem? I mean it does open with key fob and when I manually use hand underneath the trunk lid.

Okay, chief.

but $30 for a switch is a bit steep. I am going to try fixing the old... doesnt seem like there is a way to open it up...hmmm

How much do you think it should be priced at? I can appreciate you wanting to open it up and trying to fix it, but for that little money it almost doesn't seem worth your time.

$30 for a switch is steep? Buy the part and swap it out. Why do it twice when the repair either fails or doesn't work. That eats any cost savings you may realize by attempting to fix it.
