Exclamation C250 vs C300 2012 Rear Bumper

Hi All,

Is the C250 2012 rear bumper the same as the C300 Sport 2012 rear bumper? I was a bit confused, seeing as they appeared to share the same part number.

Thanks!

The part numbers may be the same. The lower "valance" should have a separate part number. How many exhaust pipes do you have showing at the rear of the car?

The two look identical, such that it has room for quad tips and the middle part curves upward for the diffuser.

What were you saying about the part numbers being the same? Are you implying that they could still be different? And that's right, the diffuser would have a different part number. I am not concerned about the valance/diffuser portion, but the rear bumper cover itself.

How many pipes do you have?

The C250 has a single exhaust pipe. The C300 has 2 exhaust pipes. According to you, the bumper looks identical and shares the same part number. I think you are correct. The difference is found within the rear valance.

2012-2015 -In the USA the (sport) C250, C350, and your C300 share the same bumper. The difference is the rear valance.

Yeah, I think that the seller simply mislabeled it as C250 when that doesn't make much sense. The bumper clearly has room for 2 tips on either side in the image that they provided (same as the C300).

For a little bit more background, this is a rear bumper cover that I ordered to upgrade my current rear bumper. They labeled in the title that it was C250, but appeared to look identical to the other LCI rear bumpers that I have seen on this forum. The only thing that I need to concern myself with (assuming that the rear bumper is correct), is if the cf diffuser that I ordered will fit.

And you're right, it does look like the rear valance is the only thing that's the major difference, given the single tip.

The seller was right. A2048809047 will fit either car. The bumper is 2 pieces. The difference is found within the rear valance. You can easily remove the valance.
