Upgrade W204 Side Mirrors
Hi there,
So I have been looking around to see whether it is actually possible to complete replace both my side mirrors with the newer style LED mirrors as the folding motor on my driver side has died. So I thought it would be better just to replace them both to the new ones.
Has anyone done this and can recommend me a place on where I can buy the mirrors as a set ?
And is it a straight swap or any work involved ?

I am assuming you have a pre-facelift w204 (2008-2011) and you want to update to the newer style side mirrors on the facelifted w204 (2012-2014). If you find the whole mirror assembly from a 2012-14 model, it'll fit, I know several people have done it, but it's expensive. Otherwise, do what I did and just buy the mirror covers and wire them up. It's a much cheaper option and looks basically the same. You can find them for around $150 off ebay. I went a step further and swap the mirror lens with blue tinted ones that has the direction LED arrows behind it, so it flashes the arrow when I use the turn signals.

I have also been debating doing this because my passenger side signal has condensation/water inside the housing. Just to clarify, because the before and after pictures don’t show the PFL mirror covers, but they replace these style mirror covers?

I am not sure to be honest because I haven't tried that myself. Not sure why you would buy them separately like that and risk it not fitting when they sell covers that has both together for cheaper.
