C 220, sl350
Gearbox swap
Just put a second hand engine and auto box (7 speed) into my c220 coupe. Bought the car with no engine or box. Everything gone smoothly and car starts and runs but has no drive to auto box. Does it need to be programmed to the car or should I swap out the ECU and ignition key/sensor from the donor car?

If the gearbox and engine are from the same donor car it should work if not you will need to virginize the conductor plate and then program it to the car.

Thanks for the info. they are from the same donor car and were not separated. Got no drive at the moment. Shifter is moving the gearbox linkage it’s full extent. Does that sound like a coding issue
