Big Navigation update problem!
I ordered the navigation discs from Ebay, loaded them into the unit and waited the 2+ hours it takes to load, it got to 98% then asked me to load disk 2....which I then did ...after about 3 minutes it tells me "The map update is not possible. Ejecting DVD. Refer to the Operators Manual" . I read a few posts that said to install the maps you need to have the most recent version of the command unit software so zi went to Mercedes and paid them the $200 to do it. I'm still getting the same message, Load DVD 2, and the same issue pops up.
I figured it'd be easier to just start over, but it won't let me, when I put in disk 1 it simply tells me to load dvd 2 and around the circle we go. My only thought is DVD 2 has a slight smudge near the data so that could be the problem but I find that to be somewhat unlikely.
Does anyone have a suggestion or solution?
This is for a 2011 C300 Sport , obviously with Nav

This happened to me once. I got a different set of discs from a different vendor and it allowed me to start from disc 1. I was mindful of checking for numerous positive reviews when I bought the second set.

I updated my 2009 C300 (US navigation with European maps, car from US). install the 2nd disc again, it should read it. the drives are not perfect, may need couple of times to read the disc.
Mine updates, BUT, I cannot change the scale (stuck on 1km) on map. Everything works as it should except the scale... any thoughts? all worked fine prior, just showed "off map" location (when US nav loaded)
