I would like to know what it this plug for. It is located in the prefuse box. It looks like the old owner had some electrical problems, they cut a wire of the plug and put a resistance to make it looks it's working.
That’s generally bad idea. It bypasses a safety device designed to disconnect power in an accident. Go online, get a new pyro fuse and replace it. Not expensive.
Was' telling the "old" post what the resistor fix was bypassing..agree not the optimal method. Like you mentioned for my model C300 the prefuse box, with the pyrofuse which blows in accidents usually with airbag deployment, needs to be replaced in toto. Have not seen my type pyrofuse sold separately so original poster may have run into the same problem or was cutting costs.
