2012 C300 power steering reservoir replacement
I have a slight leak leak coming for the powder steering reservoir so I’m going to replace the reservoir. One step in the job involves removing the E clip or circlip that holds the high pressure line to the reservoir. I’ve searched YouTube and these forums but I cannot see how to access the clip. Do you have any recommendations on how to access that connection? Sorry if I missed a thread in the forum describing the process.

Many thanks,

the circlip cannot be seen until you remove the low pressure fluid return line. So: loosen the three T30 screws ( they remain attached to the reservoir) then loosen the MB clamp. You can use that again or use a more typical hose clamp on reinstallation. Once that line is removed you should be able to see the circlip on the back of the reservoir. A screw driver or long needle nose plier will pop the clip off.
Hope that helps!
good luck with it,
Zill
