Your long term ownership experience?

If there‘s a thread alrady please point me to it thanks!

2008 C350 1st owner 110k, fairly trouble free. Repairs are taillight and airbag recall, steering lock actuator, intake manifold (pending). Consumables are timing belt and tensioner, A/Bs, 1 trans service, spark plugs (pending). Only mods are standing emblem and lux grill.

Spark plugs and battery still hanging in there. Anything else I forgot, need to be aware of?

Kinda on the same topic in this thread. I love my car and have been trouble free for 6 years of ownership besides a failed back heated seat which luckily happened within 50k miles under warranty. Got her used at 46k miles and now at 165k miles. Might need a new transmission mount right now though as I feel vibration in the 2000 RPM range.

Update: $64 OEM transmission mount and some elbow grease later and vibration at 2000 RPM is gone!

C250 2013
I have had my c250 for 6 yrs. I bought it at 22k and now it's at 84k.
Things I had to address;
1. front engine mounts, tranny mount ( indy benz shop =$350 including parts)
2. tranny service (indy benz shop = $388 including parts)
3. wiper motor and transmission replacement = replaced myself, $290.00 + wiper arm puller $7.00
4. spark plugs = replaced myself $50.00
5. engine and cabin filter = myself
6. tires
7. Exhaust hanger = myself $30.00
8. regular 10k oil change = myself (castrol 0w40 for european cars, oil filter $24.00 +$10.00 every oil change)
9. Thermostat replaced = Indy shop labor $185.00, I purchased thermostat and 2 gal antifreeze $132.00+$30.00

This has been a very pleasant experience. Pretty much trouble free if you add the repairs up.

Mercedes C250 Coupe
After 5 years my C250 remains "sin problemas" - as we often say here. Purchased summer of '14 at 23k. Odometer still under 40k. My wife's car. I really don't drive it very much.

The CPO purchase using MB Financial provided a reliable beautiful Ilittle iridium coupe with first two services and first two payments complimentary.

And we're fine with that.

2008 C350-Sport-AMG-Active Agility Pack + B170 2008+Mitsibishi+Mazda
2008 C350 145 000KM. Everytime I start it, it goes at least 40Km run, so never short trips of less.Change engine oil every 5000Km 229.5, hope for the best.

1-Stearing lock fail-replaced under gurantee.
2-Front wheel suspention bushes from factory replaced under gurantee.
3-Foglight fail replaced.
4-Engine knock on startup sometimes some times of the year it happens rarely, never got worse.
Oil tests by lab did not reveal any problems.
5-Rotors and brake pads replaced under gurantee before it ran out.
6-replaced front serpintine belt plus 3 pulleys myself out of gurantee.
7-It has now run with less problems out of gurantee than while within.

8-The steering lock issue was a big for me, never has any vehicle dropped me like that.

9-Now due for another gearbox oil change, steering flued & brakefluid change....

2017 C250 W205
23 months and 44,500 miles in a nutshell: I just love this car!

The car gives a comfortable ride, just a joy to drive!

Some typical issues (timing chain and taillight bulb holder https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/...f=96&t=1342509 ) were fixed by my Mercedes dealer free of charge.
The rear subframe will also be replaced free of charge as this is a known W204-issue.

All in all everything is fine and I plan to keep the great set of wheels for a long time.

2015 C350 Coupe
Palladium Silver, 2013 C250 coupe and it's making me call Mercedes the best of nothing as I've had a bunch of issues. I leased the vehicle from new and bought it when the lease ended. Car has 81k miles.

1. Timing Chain Tensioner failed at 60K miles. Engine rebuilt by MB free of charge.
2. Rattle in open sunroof that only exhibited itself at idle. Dealership tried motor mounts and transmission mounts which didn't help. Eventually replaced the glass lifters to quell the rattle.
3. Sunroof control button popped off. Replaced under warranty.
4. Steering wheel controls delaminating. Bought replacement off ebay.
5. Aluminum trim on steering wheel replaced due to pealing.
6. Aluminum trim around cup holder cracking.
7. E-break handle broke.
8. MB-tex driver's seat cover failing where wallet contacts seat.
9. Turn signal stalk "sticking" and some times does not turn off when making left turn. Not replaced since problem is not frequent.
10. Throttle response is poor and engine exhibits the dreaded, "turbo lag" when I step on the gas. It's not like the V6 in the C350 that just went when you wanted it to.
11. When driving with the roof and and windows open, sometimes cross wind whistles as it hits the opening for the seat belt.
12. Wheel caps had to be replaced as they were destroyed by New York state salt. Bought black ones and matching black hood emblem which look so much better than the blue ones.
13. Had to have the trunk latch adjusted as it became almost impossible to close.
14. Once in a while the auto dimming rear view mirror does not dim. Moving it slightly fixes the issue.

That's all I can think of at the moment, but it's way more than any car should have. I'd give the car a failing grade for reliability, but still enjoy driving it and get compliments where ever I go... and in two more years, I will have the car paid off.
