2010 C300 vibration around 2k-3k rpm

Hey guys. Ive been experiencing slight vibration/ humming/ drone when I'm cruising at 2k -3k rpm. I mainly feel it when I'm in 3rd or 4th gear in that rpm range. There are no vibration during idle/parked. Would a tranny or motor mounts cause vibration only at these rpm range when in motion and not idle? My car has just reached 165k miles so I'm sure something is going out. But just would like to pin point it if possible.

Yes motor/transmission mounts can cause that.

I'm leaning more towards transmission mount than engine mounts.
But if they are all original, replace them all together.

Thanks. I think I will try the transmission mount first as it's the cheaper and quickest.

I had that same issue with my CLK where it would only vibrate/hum at a certain RPM range. I changed the transmission mount since the engine mounts were only 2 years old and the problem was solved. So yes, try the transmission mounts first and you should be good to go.

Thank you. That sounds promising. Ordered the trans mount. Can't go wrong for $60.
