Missing Door Seal?

I was recently going over my new-to-me C300 and giving all the rubber seals a cleaning and conditioning with gummi pflege stift and noticed that the passenger side front and rear doors are missing the rubber strip at the bottom!

A 204 690 35 62 - Fits: Front Left (Passenger) Door - Part 150 in this image.
A 204 690 39 62 - Fits: Rear Left (Passenger) Door - Part 150 in this image.

I can get replacements easily enough, but what is not clear is how they attach!
I do not see any residual adhesive or holes for clips?
The photos I've been able to find online look as though they should clip in but there are no matching clips or empty holes on the car?

Can anyone else with a W204 sedan lean down and take peek, or better yet, snap a photo of how these are attached?

Dealerships here are useless and clueless unless the vehicle is brand-new in the showroom in front of them, once it crosses the property line they "forget" they ever knew anything.
I've had to flat out argue that Mercedes-Benz did indeed produce a C300 sedan with 4Matic in 2012 every time I've tried to order parts, providing the VIN might as well be teaching algebra to cavemen.
I've given up on them and order online from USA dealerships which are marginally better and have purchased an C4 SD Connect + Laptop of my own.

I have the weather strips both present on the drivers side and the EPC lists them as applicable to my VIN so I'm at a loss as to why they would both not be there on the passenger side.
They appear to clip directly into the door, but I do not see any holes on the passenger side?

Both doors on the passenger side may have been re-painted and the body shop must've removed those rubber strips on the bottom and the shop didn't put those strips back. I think they are attached with adhesive.(not with clips).

Sounds like this would be the most educated guess.

TC, do you know if the car was in an accident on the passenger side before purchase?

That's where things get really strange...never any accidents or repainting. My car has just over 80,000km (49,000mi) and is mint. What I suspect is a detailer may have gone overboard and removed them at some point or the PO shredded them somehow and pulled them?

Truly a mystery.

Either way, new strips are ordered and all is well.
