Tire recommendation? lux 4matic
Hi all,

Just wondering what the current opinion is on tires for the W204. I'm in Minnesota so need some winter capabilities. I've been perusing tirerack and have more or less narrowed it down to the following:

Continental ExtremeContact DWS 06

Yokohama Avid Ascend GT

I think you are doing it right. I too searched on TR (focused on price and noise). Most near/to spec tires will do, after that it's personal preference.

I have been pleased with Goodyear Eagle Sport all season tires on my C300.

Agree, TR ratings are very useful tool. Most of the rest is all subjective and data-less ("I've always used XYZ, they make my car ride like new")

I would go for the continentals, I haven’t heard how well Yokohama’s wear on German cars.

I have recently put on the Continental ExtremeContact DWS 06 (17", stock staggered setup) and so far am very happy with them in every respect.
