ABS pump / ESP electrical connector wont come off
Looking to take on a family members W204 (pre-face lift, 2007) and it has an intermittent ABS fault, logged code according to the mechanic is something to do with communication being lost with the ABS module. Unfortunately I wasnt able to get the exact code at the time (it was a few months ago), but he did do it for free so no bones there.
I was going to remove the connector from the module in the engine bay and clean it with contact cleaner, however it seems the lifting clip part has broken so the connector no longer pulls itself part way out and I cant remove it.
Is there a way that I can still remove the connector / a way to get the lifting part to actually raise so I can get the connector out? Additionally is it possible to replace the damaged part or, I would assume not as its part of the connector?
I did try the search but cant seem to find anything so I'm probably using the wrong search terms or something.
