looking to get XENTRY/STAR
My warranty is running out in November and I decided it is time to get XENTRY/STAR so I can do diagnosis and tweaks. what is the up-to-date copy version of the programs? Can I get some recommendations for which version and a vendor? I'm looking to use it for side work as well and would like to be able to use it on later models then our car. I know some guys on here are knowledgable about this and I would like your input. Thanks

Xentry comes out every two months. Take a couple of months and search the subject, then you can make a good decision on what and from whom to purchase a system that's best for your needs. I might add that it will take you about six months to fully understand the capabilities of the system----the alternative is get an 40 dollar OBD tool

Get in touch with member @pmercury . He deliver a reliable genuine, MB installation, all updates included up to latest releases, all MB vehicles.
He did mine, and it just works perfect.
He even helped me get my datacard changed, as I installed paddle shifters.

So, for MB to change that, they would end up in a sh*t storm, in Europe.

They also did it with the CLK550, CLS550, E550, S550, etc. Within all the SDS systems (DAS, WIS, EPC, etc), the "550" models are referred to as "500". I guess the "500" is just such a popular suffix in Europe, they did it that way. Of course the numeric suffix has never been a certain indication of actual engine size - it just "mostly"was. Now, it has really nothing to do with it.
