Hey all does anyone have a cheeper remote start alternative? I mean 800$+ is a little ridiculous.

My Chevy one was $100 and took 10 minutes to install lol!!!

Just want something basic any alternatives to the usual would be much appreciated.

Car
No.

they have them they are expensive retrofit units. $500-$1000

Mercedes isn’t a cheap car. You won’t find anything cheap.

Cheap American cars can use cheap starter kits not the Benz.

Just because it may be difficult or more involved on a Mercedes does not mean it is anything special. Sometimes 'cheap' is the intelligent alternative to 'overly complicated'. Hell, I'm 51 years old and not until I bought my C300 have I EVER heard of windows or moonroofs that have to be 'reset'. NEVER. Drove Acura for 13 years and never once had one that had to be reset... Ever. Not even after a disconnected battery, or even freezing up in an ice storm.

this is great but its close to $700 taxes in, plus if install is tough the cost of install at a shop.

I'm trying to find sub $400 for a unit. these aren't new cars anymore I'm even looking on ebay daily for a used option.

you guys have a great product no doubt. i understand R&D comes at a price but were almost at w206 coming out...you would think the prices would drop on these things but its not looking like it.
