My car is a 2012/13 C180 2.2cdi. I have been reading in the user manual. It said it is impossible to turn off esp.. is that true, or is it a way to have some fun?

The manual is correct. You cannot turn off ESP on these cars. Even the models that have an ESP button you cannot fully turn it off. The only way to turn it off is to go through the engineering menu on the cluster but that also disables ABS and SRS functions.

Press start/stop button once (without pressing any pedal) to switch ignition to position I, or turn ignition key to position I. Press button "B" until odometer is displayed. Press and hold button "A". Within 1 second: Press and hold button "C". After 5 seconds the voltage indicator is displayed. Release buttons "A" and "C".
