I noticed this piece had melted, also a wire seems to have fallen out. I am willing to replace the headlights as it was something I’ve been planning to do regardless, but I’m worried about the other piece it seems to be stuck to?
Can't really tell from your picture but it looks like a plug body and the red wire has broken or burned apart, if so you need to not only replace the plug but the part it plugs into, you'll also need a new metal connector that the wire broke from. That a pretty large gauge wire so make sure the battery is disconnected before you burn something up or short something out. Where does this plug go to? I wouldn't worry about replacing your headlights until this is repaired. Maybe some more info or better pics would help.

Yes, the red wire is definitely burned. This plug, if I’m not mistaken is from my left headlight. I’m at work right now and took the photo before I left the car. When I get back to it in a few hours, I’ll update the post with more photos.
