I just installed a backup camera in my 2008 C350. Installation was super easy. But now I'm trying to set up the camera in COMMAND and it looks like the software I have is out of date. Is there anywhere I can download the updates from besides having to go through the dealership?

 

May I ask what camera you used? Actually, can you list everything you bought to accomplish this? I’ve read plenty of the old install guides but I’m curious what camera/equipment people are using in 2020.

I found a camera on amazon ( ) It was a direct replacement for the license plate bulb housing and fit perfectly. It came with the power and video cables and I ordered the RCA to Fakra to plug into the back of the head unit. All together camera, cables, zip ties, tape, and wire splicers cost me under $50 bucks. I wasn't looking for 1080p back there just something to make it a little easier backing up being that my back window is tinted.
