Parking light sockets.
This part appears all over but RockAuto is the cheapest. You have to fish out the wires from your headlight/parking light (those "can MB use a cheaper, thinner wire!!") , get 2 lengths of new wire, long enough to give you some better work room in this snug spot. I cut the OEM wires at the base of the melted socket, carefully stripped the insulation(fragile here), twist joined the new wire(s) which I had added to the other end(s) the socket you have to assemble (the metal prongs the bulb slips into with wires crimped, grommets, it will be obvious). Tried to heat/solder the twisted new wire/OEM wire but looked like insulation was going to melt away into the depths of the headlight case so twisted tight and coated with Superglue, followed by a smear of RTV to further insulate. Has lasted a year plus so far. A PITA because of the location with little room to attach and insert new socket but doable.
