Replaced my Idler Pulleys and Tensioner, now noticing a whine??
I just replaced my idler pulleys and the tensioner with the FCP Euro kit. I'm now noticing that it seems like there is a whine when I rev the engine. You can't hear it from inside, but you can hear it outside. It's pretty faint. I took a video of what it sounds like. This is with the driver window open and right next to a brick wall so you can hear the sound reflecting.
Do you think it could be a sign I need a new alternator? It doesn't matter whether the AC is on or off, the noise is the same it seems. Or is it normal? I checked the pulleys for the power steering, AC, and alternator and they all seemed to move smoothly without roughness.

Seems like from what I read it is alternator whine. I'll probably get the alternator replaced in the next couple months but it doesn't seem urgent. Would be annoying to have to listen to that with the windows down in the spring or summer, though!
