Pre-Facelift C300 Retrofit Problem

Installed a new steering wheel on my 2010 C300 4-matic that came from a 2010 e350. Had the intention of retrofitting the paddle shifters but i installed everything and alas, the paddles don’t work. I’ve been trying to research how to get them to work online and for the most part all i’ve gotten is that i’ll need to do some SCN coding... Can anyone give me a better insight to exactly what i need to do? Thanks

Hopefully you get this to work and not have the same problem as I did. When I brought it to my local dealer they were not able to get the paddle shifters working for me. They successfully added all the appropriate codes but could not get the programming to work. They even updated my ECU and TCU free of charge and still couldn't get it to work. The odd thing is with the paddle shifters hooked up to the car, their STAR system saw them and confirmed they were working but they just wouldn't communicate with the transmission.

There's a YouTube video in one of the retrofit threads that provides supposedly all the codes you need to get paddle shifters to work on a prefacelift W204. That's what I followed and got nothing.

Here's the video:

Yes, I came across that video during my research and am quite disappointed to hear that you couldn’t get it to work. There seems to be very little information surrounding the pre-facelift cars which i wish wasn’t the case... Part of me wants to try it anyways but 1. Around me is VERY difficult to find someone with a star tool willing to put the codes into your car, and 2. I don’t want to spend lots of money not knowing if it will work or not as being younger, and dumber, i don’t have a huge budget and would rather just put the money into something else on the car. ://
