2011/2012 C180 Coupe (petrol)
Exclamation NASTY sound from transmission (video)

Okay I just recently bought a 2011 (2012 model year) W204 coupe (C180 1.8) with 75k miles on it. For the first 4 years it was serviced at the dealership and after that some local car shop

Whenever I do a COLD start > put gear selector from P to R > proceed to reverse for a few meters > put gear selector to D, THEN, just as I put the gear selector to D for trying to go forward, a nasty creaking/screeching sound appears for a moment.
I created a short audio video - turn your volume up a bit and listen at 1:13 - 1.14 in the video - THAT is the moment when I put the gear selector to D as described above - you hear a nasty sound.
What is it and what should I do about it, it only happens after a cold start. Did I get scammed out of my money or what...But other than that the transmission seems to work fine...

Maybe the fan is touching the shroud as you shift due to a soft engine mount. First figure out where the sound is coming from. If the transmission drives fine, I wouldn't worry about it.
