Hi, went to costco today to get interstate battery for my 2011 c300 sport, they said they do not carry that battery. I then stopped at a walmart to see what they have but I know I dont want the everstart regular battery, but they carry a platinum everstart AGM battery and I believe its the H7 for our cars? I read this particular battery is same as factory battery and made in Germany, anybody know for sure size and if they have used this battery?

Mine is the second battery from MB dealer for $156 in March 2016. I would buy from MB if the price is the same.

This battery fits https://www.walmart.com/ip/EverStart...0-CCA/20531542, but it is not an AGM type.

Look for interstate dealer/wholeseller in your area. They usually have warehouse you can go and pick up battery for your car.
That's what I did. Costco did not have the battery in stock and the dealer had it. price wise it was $2 or $3 difference.

I saw that everstart battery at Walmart but not the platinum/agm type, I thought my car needs the AGM type? I have had no success with the regular everstart batteries in my other cars, they always go bad a year or 2 after purchase and leave me stranded.

Only one or two years it is either the everstart battery is not good or your car has too much standby current draw. I got a clamp meter and test my four cars, they are more or less 70 mA with all doors closed after a short time to let car go to sleep (standby). If you can park car for a week or two or longer and start with no problem then it is not the car it is the battery issue.

I am not sure if C300 will accept non AGM type. Maybe MB or other luxury cars are designed such they only take AGM?

I called MB dealer and they sell for $175 which is great but they only have a 2 year warranty, thats pretty bad. I called back to Cosco and told them its a H& and now they say we do have those, and they are saying I dont need the agm style as that is for cars that the battery is inside the cabin, mine is under the hood. $146.00 with 3 year full replacement, so unless anybody thinks I need the agm, going with Costco regular interstate.

I checked Costco Interstate battery about a month ago in my area when AGM for C300 was available. I checked today Costco has none for C300 not even the regular battery. Google search regular vs AGM shows the latter has a few advantages. Personally I lean towards MB AGM. The time I bought it at MB dealer I didn't even ask the warranty. Now it's been four and half years old it is still fine. In recent SIP situation the car is mostly parked, so I trickle charge it when battery terminal voltage drops to under 12 V.

The Mercedes batteries for my cars here in Las Vegas have lasted over 7 years in the desert heat. They will also come out to you in their roadside assistance vehicle and change it out for you

I was impressed with the tech - and his rolling Mercedes van workshop - that drove to my home and installed a new MB battery.
IIRC, the cost was just over $200.
