Exclamation is my car engine about to blow up?

engine start @ 0:13
what do you think of this sound?
2011 facelift c 180, 1.8 liter engine, petrol

Not necessarly, I had an old brittish van once with a ten times noisier engine, and it never broke, I sold it due to rust to scrapyard.

I think your cheapest option, if I hear what you talking about, is to look at what oil they put in.
I recognise the initial piston like slap and noise afterwards.
I would try a 10W-40 say Shell Ultra in it and see what happens then.

Was that from cold ?
How many miles ?
Sounds like the standard M271 timing chain rattle at start up.
If you are concerned then have the timing chain and sprockets checked by a reputable indy.

You might also want to check your muffler to see if there might be a small hole in it somewhere as that could be a cause of the noise. Also, engines do get noisier as they get older with more miles on them. Make sure you keep your oil changed on a regular basis.
