I have a rattling speaker in a 14 c300 with harmon kardon stock with factory nav. Found many threads on upgrading non-hk optioned cars with speakers and sub additions. Is there anything special needed to upgrade the harmon kardon system or something preventing me from doing so? What is the factory HK speakers ohm rating? Any help or links to prior posts would be appreciated. I have no problem doing custom or aftermarket designed for the w204 specifically, but I dont really want to have to start with a new head unit and factory amp removal to run a whole new system. Just figured might be worth upgrading speakers while fixing a bum speaker. I have searched quite a bit. Thanks in advance.

I'm in the exact same situation, lower front woofer just blew and I can't find anything. Even Crutchfield can help Originally Posted by PMeng

I had the same issue. I bought the infinite set. And I see no difference with older one. I believe it's also the same company

Which infinity set did you install model wise?

I had all the door speakers in my W204 Sport model upgraded to Morel speakers by a company here in the U.K. They sound great and a noticeable improvement on the factory offer. They fit without any issues except some custom spacers behind the lower door spkrs. Inner door trim and speaker grilles all remain as factory so is unnoticeable from in the car.Originally Posted by Marcil802

The company that did the work is: Comand (Europe) Ltd. They are based in Surrey near to M25/M3 motorways and specialise in MB upgrades and retrofits of factory extras. They’ve done a couple of other upgrades on my car. All very well executed. Check their website

We just out of luck then? There’s really no plug n play speakers that sound better than stock??
