Is my ESL or EIS going???
So over the last couple months my 2014 c300 that has 56,000 miles has not started maybe 5 times the first time when i put in the key and turn it. All the lights on dash turn on but the car doesnt start and theres no “whirring” sound. To get it to start ive had to take the key and open the door then shut it and put the key back in then it will start after the “whirring” sound. When it doesnt start the key does turn all the way. Does anybody know if this is a warning that the ESL or EIS is going and if so should i just replace the whole thing or just the motor or get the emulator?

Read post #30 in this link to help differentiate between the EIS/ESL failure. I would imagine you need to follow its steps when your car has hit the "not start" option you describe, not when it's OK obviously

Read post #30 in this link to help differentiate between the EIS/ESL failure. I would imagine you need to follow its steps when your car has hit the "not start" option you describe, not when it's OK obviously
