2013 C300 suspension (spring) confusion

Hello,

Please forgive me if this has already been answered in a different thread. I searched but couldnt seem to find the exact answer I am looking for.

I have 2013 C300 4matic sport suspension with around 75K on it. I am redoing the suspension as its starting to ride a little rough. I will either go with B4's or the OE Sachs, i havent quite made up my mind as they seem very similar. SInce I will have to remove the springs anyways I figured I would go ahead and replace those as well as control arm bushings. My car is the sport which is already a bit lowered. from what I have read the sport suspension rides about 1-1.4" lower then the luxury or normal suspension.

My question is this: If I went with H&R (or similar) springs that list about a 1.2-1.5" drop all around am I going to end up around the same height that Im currently at or will these be another 1.2-1.5" drop from where I am now. Most of the spring sets have a note that says "lowering height varies with sport suspension". I wouldn't mind a slightly lower drop but I dont want to go too low and certainly dont want to be higher then the where I sit now.

My car has AMG factory 18's so there isnt a huge gap, I would say as it is right now there is about a 1.2"-1.5" gap from the wheel to the fender. Ideally I would love to end up about 0.5" lower then where I sit now. Any comments, suggestions or advice would be great!

You should go with the H&R 29076-5 its is not going to give the advertised lowering. It is going to lower the car around 1 cm and if u wanna go wayyyyyyyy low go with the 29075 H&R kit it is going to kiss the ground. As for the oem shock absorbers the front are a twin tube design and the rear are a monotube. I would suggest going for the bilstein b6 its is going to give you wayy more reliability and better performance. If u just wanna replace ur oem go with which ever is cheaper either b4 or sachs they are very very similar. But the difference with the b4 and b6 is not more than 50$ so it is worth the upgrade.

Forgot to say the b6 are monotube and b4 are twin tube with dampmatic technology

Thanks for the info and suggestions and the speedy reply. I apologize for the delayed response.

OK so im getting ready to pull the trigger and buy everything but here is what ive noticed. When pricing the B6's and springs separately im at about $1100 with shipping. I was a little surprised that the rears are actually more than the fronts. If I went with a B12 pro kit its about $800-900. The b12 kit is just B8's with Eibach springs but for the life of me I cannot find them for my car. It seems that because mine is a 4-matic with sport suspension im a little more limited. On the bilstein website it essentially says the b6's are an OE performance replacement and B8's are for lowered cars. I know bilstein makes some solid shocks so Im assuming if I got the B6's with the H&R's (29076-5) that it should be ok? Technically it would be lowered a little more then the stock sport suspension but not the typical amount you would get from a standard lowering spring that lowers about 1-1.5". Unless im missing something it seems my only option for a bilstein sport/performance shock is to go with the B6's.

Thoughts on this?
