Talking Strut Bar Review

Much to my surprise the Megan Racing strut bar made a considerable difference on my 2012 C300 Sport. I was really not expecting much given the low price, but it nearly eliminates body roll when I make tight turns now. The car feels much more planted and much more sporty. I almost feel silly saying it, because I did not expect a very noticeable improvement. Every now and then things just work out I guess .

Megan Racing - ebay!

https://www.ebay.com/itm/MEGAN-RACIN...72.m2749.l2649

Do some aggressive u-turns once installed - car stays planted now - feels much sportier for such a cheap mod!
Magnaflow Mufflers arrive later today, looking forward to those going on!

I put a Steeda bar on my 2005 Mazda6 wagon. Even with the shock (it's double wishbone, not struts) towers fairly close to the firewall, the brace absolutely makes a difference.

Ironically, I was looking at the Megan brace just last night. Thinking I'll order it.

I can confirm that the brace makes a difference. Mine does not eliminate body roll as it it is not designed to do that. The strut bar distributes the impact of the road to the brace and then to the other strut, reducing chassis flex. Gives the chassis a firmer more tank-like feel. It will be most noticeable when you install it and when you hit those bumps on the road and when driving over 140 miles an hour. I have had mine on for over a year. For the price it's a steal.

The damn thing helps, way more than I expected it to.

Anyone reading this lower their 4matic? Worth it? Or do the stock shocks go bad and the car gets too bouncy?

With the strut bar and new axleback exhaust I went ahead and debadged and dechromed the doors, starting to feel like a different car

2 years since I installed mine and it's a very noticeable difference. The only downside was the bolts included, I eventually replaced them with stronger, higher quality ones.
