Exclamation Normal temp ?

Hello,
i am new in this forum and i have a question regarding the normal operating car temp.
my w204 2010 is running from 98c - 208f up to 106c- 222f ...

i got my self an ultra gauge to keep my eye on it and i found that at 106c - 222f the thermostat open and takes the temp to 98c-208f

is this normal or there is something wrong ?

The temperature gauge on my C250 coupe - when fully warm - shows the pointer just touching the top of the "80".............

Yes me too but the ultra gauge OBD2 tells me it is 106c-222f and the pointer is still above 80 ..
i am worried so that the engine won’t die sooner since it is operating hot .

don’t know what is the normal temp so i can look into it if there is something wrong .

This is not technical, just my experience. None of my Mercedes Benz cars or SUVs have had a normal operating temperature above 90 C, 194 F. My 2013 C250 sedan runs around 85 C. The 106 C opening for the thermostat seems higher than normal, but may not be damaging to the engine.

I think it's normal. I just replaced the t stat on my daughters car with one from the MB dealer. The car has always been what everyone else shows on the gauge and still does with new T-stat. When I have the ODBII adapter and Torque app running I get the same, goes up to 106c when opening and goes down to 93c when its not hot outside. I suspect when it warms up outside more fluctuations will be same.

My normal coolant temp is 198°F. Rarely does it go above that. The oil temp will settle within 10° of that number but is usually at the same temp after driving a while. The oil temp is at operating temperature at 176°F and turns white. This display is from the AMG menu Instrument Cluster mod from @BenzNinja .
