A C-class C200 2009 front SAM control module is water damaged, need to clone a new SAM.First need to read dump data from old front SAM unit and clone to a new one.
Hook up xhorse vvdi programmer. read both dflash and pflash, then write to a new one.
wada waste of time and money------all you need is a good used SAM with the same part number or earlier and its a plug and play------if you have to have an OEM SAM use XDOS and you can flash the SAM in 5 minutes
Installing a used front SAM is not plug and play. The front SAM also has the Central Gateway built in. The car will start and all but your COMAND will get the antitheft activated and of course many other modules will set codes for VIN mismatch. I get this jobs all the time from other shops. It's just better to get the latest part number because they have made many upgrades to these SAM's.... But of course it will require online programming and SCN coding to finalize the job.
