2014 C250 CDI - what to bear in mind to ensure longevity
Hi all,
I have a 2014 C250 CDI coupe (OM651) with 113 000km (70 000 miles) on the clock. I’ve owned the vehicle for just over a year and apart from the scheduled maintenance, have had to replace a turbo charge pipe that had cracked and the exhaust back pressure sensor found on the EGR. I also replaced the DPF pressure sensor for added peace of mind.
I have a pretty good diagnostic tool that I use to diagnose the car an bi-weekly basis to nip any potential issues in the bud (which was the case with identifying the faulty exhaust back pressure sensor, as it did not turn on the EML). I do about 10 - 15 thousand kilometers of travel a year.
Is there anything in particular I should keep tabs on or do as additional preventative maintenance to best ensure longevity, as I plan on keeping the car to 180 000km +? Any tips and advice would be greatly appreciated!
Many thanks.
