2012 C300 COMAND unit button malfunction

My 2012 C300 (face lifted W204) comand head unit acts weird when I press any button. E.g. Pressing Nav behaves as if I pressed Mute, Pressing radio acts like pressing Nav (Map shows on display) and so on. None of the buttons do what they say, and it wasn't always like this. It used to work fine a year ago or so and started acting weird at random around a year ago and now it always works weird. I had it scanned at Mercedes dealership and they said its showing a stuck button code and they said it will cost $5,000 ONLY to fix the issue, at which point I said can I have my keys back please? I am thinking of spraying "electronic contact cleaner" into the buttons to help clean the stuck button issue. Any suggestions, should I remove the battery or just removing the fuse is sufficient? Please watch the video below to see the issue in action.
