Brakes grabbing ABS as soon as I touch the gas. Can’t go over idle speed
SubscribeHello everyone,
I haven’t been on the forums in years but my wife just came home with a problem with her 13 c250 and I figured I’d see if any of you may be able to help me out with a diagnosis before I’m forced to go spend money tomorrow.
I’ll post the video below this but the brakes grab hard as soon as the vehicle speed goes over idle speed. Touch the gas... brakes are applied. So hard it’s triggering ABS.
As you can see in the video I go full throttle, foot to the floor and the brakes just clamp harder. Can’t go anywhere.
I’d appreciate the help, I’ve never wrenched on this car and don’t know where to start. Car has around 25k miles on it so, in theory things shouldn’t be breaking LOL.
only codes stored are right front wheel speed sensor and a cam/crank position sensor and a new battery last year.

Hi
Is it possible the speed limiter is set rather than cruse control, I think that you push in a button on the cruse control stalk.
My wife accidentally set the speed limiter one evening when leaving home and car would only go 30 km/hr.

Was that addressed? If not, then I would be inclined to think that's the source of your problem.Originally Posted by romeomikehotel
