Hey guys I’m new to the forums & this is my first post. I recently purchased my 2008 C63 from Canada & had it imported into the states. The previous owner before had cat deletes, & now I need to get an inspection done for the car before being able to register it. So I was wondering is there anyway to bypass & trick the system into thinking the cats are still there? A buddy of mine said you can use defusers, but my mechanic said it wouldn’t fit? I’m not the best with cars so I sniped some photos from underneath the car when I had it on a lift to post on the forums. I know some people on here have cat deletes and are still able to pass inspection, would really hate to have to buy new cats & install them. So if anyone has any tips or tricks to help me out I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you.
@Plutoe What part of my question was the deciding factor in you concluding I was not the best ? The part where I clearly stated that? I’m a contractor & I bet you know nothing in that field. Stay in your lane. If you don’t have any solution to add then you don’t know jack **** either and you should probably just keep to yourself.
When I brought my car in for smog check, they always visually check under the hood and underneath the car to see if anything is altered related to smog. Then they perform smog test.
