Hissing noise when I decelerate / let go of the gas

Hi all,

I just recently joined this forum so it is nice to meet all of you.

My question is has anyone experienced any hissing noise (like air escaping from tea kettle) while driving, specifically when decelerating / letting go of the gas? I just heard it when I was riding in my brother's 2011 C250 4matic with 2.5L v6 (142k km / 88k miles); and usually last around 5-10 seconds as RPM decreases. He said it likely been going on for while now and he only noticed it a couple of months ago. The car is completely stock and has followed the scheduled maintenance. I tried getting a video but my phone won't pick up the hissing sound.

We were both wondering if the hissing sound is normal (especially for it's age and mileage) or a potential / actual problem with the car's exhaust (or any other systems)?
