New windshield..G. Daimler sticker?
I am looking at getting a new windshield as mine currently has a star shaped chip in it, and was wondering if new windshields come with the g. Daimler sticker already in the bottom right corner, or is it something you have to buy and add on? I really want to retain the sticker for a factory new look.
Is this something aftermarket windshields come with? Do dealerships put them on when they do their windshield replacements, or do you have to request it and pay for it extra? I'm not sure my insurance will cover a windshield from the dealer 100%, but if they don't put the sticker on and it's something you can buy and add on yourself, I can't see paying $200 out of pocket for an OEM windshield just to retain the sticker when I can buy one for a couple bucks and stick it on an aftermarket windshield I got for free![nix](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/nixweiss.gif)
I may be overthinking this, but I was just wondering

My w203 was replaced a few years back by another glass company and did not have the sticker. IMO is a cleaner look. Is there any reason you want to keep the sticker? If I'm not mistaken you can buy them from the dealer .

If you have your glass installer (such as Safelite) source the glass from an MB dealer, the windshield will come with the signature sticker. We did this after the Safelite agent explained the choices we had to repair our E Class, which had a couple of chips. The glass actually came from our own MB dealer. The Safelite agent gave us excellent service and did a great job at his shop (we did not ask the truck to come to us). The sticker has a new transparent design, and is no longer "Daimler", but now, "Mercedes".

All Mercedes decals are available. There is a listing miles long in the EPC in just about every language on the planet. Dealer might have to order.

I just looked, my 2013 has a sticker too. Says Daimler something. Weird! These cars love to remind you what you are driving. Steering wheel, gear shift, door sills, and now a sticker.

One of the first thing I removed on my car. I know your really want a factory look but it is way cleaner without it.

HEHHEHE oh yea i got the clear one in the mail.

I had 3 windscreen replacements so far, and compared to my other vehicles they are inferior quality, chip easy, crack easy, looks thin too. Notified insurance company.

Applying the new Mercedes window sticker
what if the PPG painted logo is on the right side where the Mercedes decal should go? Can that be removed first?
