Fuel pump
Fuel pump
I got a 2013 c350 w204, it recently shut off on me after driving 100 miles back home. it started right up when I tried to start it, but with a check engine light, I scanned it and it was a code for low fuel pressure at the rail. I researched the code and I read it was an early sign for a failing fuel pump, I ordered a new one from fcp euro. It got here today so I removed the back seat, removed the plate over the pump and I look at the pump and it’s completely different, the one I got from fcp euro has a tab, it’s a bucket pump and needs a locking ring that slides counterclockwise or clockwise to unlock & lock it, the one I have in my car has no tab and studs coming from the tank around the pump with nuts holding the ring down, I removed the nuts, unplugged the plug and removed the upper cap piece of the pump, I look in the tank and the rest of the pump looks massive! I’ve tried looking on fcp euro to see if they have that version of the pump but no luck. Has anybody dealt with this pump? I’m concerned on how you get this one out? It looked pretty big compared to the hole. Any knowledge or experience with this will be greatly appreciated.
