Long time lurker first time poster here. I was driving back from work and I heard a scraping noise coming from the rear passenger side. Thought it was my wheels initially but when I stepped out I saw a huge piece of metal sticking out. Could someone tell me what this is and an estimate on how much it'll be to weld/fix it? It's connected to the car so I can't just yank it out.

I think you have picked up some road debris and has connected to your car, if you have pliers you or your neighbour could remove with out any problems and there is no damage from the photos which could cause a problem.

Ah okay I initially thought it was a metal wire from the car's jackpad itself that got hooked onto something from the road and got yanked out. I'll try the pliers today.
