2006 CLS 320 and a 2008 C220 estate
Fault problem
Just had my car at an independent Mercedes’ mechanic. He had the car on the diagnostics and it came up with fault stating steuergerät. I’ve got no real issues with the car does anyone know what this is. No dash fault lights and he said he’d get back to me when he gets in translated.

“steuergerät” translates to “control unit.” Exactly what part that relates to would have to be contained in the rest of the diagnostic info.

usually faults go by standard DTC code numbers... Ask your mechanic for a report printout of car scan.🙏
