Remove rearview mirror

Trying to remove rearview mirror and these two bolts are the only thing I see I can touch

. The bolts get stuck on the metal lip you see underneath it so I can’t remove it. I seen videos with close year and model but their explanation and descriptions don’t seem to be what I’m looking at. I tried to pull but I don’t want to break it ( which is what they say to do is pull down on it ) .This is a 2010 c300.
thank for you help.

It just pops off.
See youtube videos.
Use a straight bladed driver and lever it off.

Just yank it like on the video the tricky part is putting it back. You need a thin flat screw driver to push the pins in. why do you need to remove it?

I must have the special one then lol, because it’s not just popping off. I tried to pull it and now i wedged a flathead to pry it down and it won’t come off.

I’ll keep trying, thanks.
as to why? My wife’s friend was transporting a plant and they didn’t realize that the plant had a rod and they tore the liner.

I checked and it should snap-off in the way we have described. Only the W207 id different.

Well at this point I had nothing to lose lol, I hammered away and it popped. It wasn’t easy but we did it! You guys rock!

I’ll figure out how to disassemble, rewire and assemble the rear view mirror when it’s time to put it back on lol. for now let’s enjoy this win!

woot woot…
