Timing Chain Tensioner Plug installation

Hello Everyone!

I have a really ridiculous problem. I fixed the timing chain etc. Now I can not figure out how to put a new expansion plug in. Whenever I try it, it goes in wrong. It is not flush to the hole. I ordered now 6 (2 of each different manufacturer) to fix this.. is there any trick to press the plug in?

thanks in advance

Did anyone have any tricks? Had to pull mine out again... not straight, leaking oil.
