How to check this without breaking it

How to test the Quiescent on the right using multimeter. I have checked for continuity between the two yellow marked wings and I got close to zero. Does it mean that the part works or are there different ways to check it. How about the four prongs of the plug??

If the ohm meter when connected reads close to zero that is good it proved electricity flows through the item.
It looks like it is a amp sensor so the little terminals sense what the current flow is through the large terminals.

Are there ways to check the battery sensor? I am having an onboard electrical managment issues and rear SAM issues. This issues as I have read make the battery sensor one of the culprit for not starting.
I am quoting " The battery sensor (B95) and the rear SAM are responsible for the on-board electrical system management. Installed directly at the negative terminal, the battery sensor measures voltage, current and temperature at the on-board electrical system battery and uses these to evaluate the battery's status.
